This is one of the most interesting parts of the game. And we just getting started with it. Today we are diving in to Clouds past! He leaved his Hometown Nibelheim to Work for Shinra and became successful in the mIlitary Branch to become a 1st Class SOLDIER. Thats all we know right now. Tiffa is his childhood friend, she grew up in Nibelheim. After leaving Cosmo Canyon and Bugenhagen Nibelheim is the only spot we can get to with the Buggy. All other Places we had visited before and there is no way to progress further. We must go to Nibelheim.

In his Memory Cloud was thinking Nibelheim burned to the ground and he is surprised to find it as if never had happend before. Speaking to the people of Nibelheim, everybody denies that the City was destroyed by a fire. The Group talks to everybody and stocks up on supplys. Throughout the City of Nibelheim you can find also some loot. The Good stuff however is hidden in the Shinra Mansion at the upper left. There is a puzzle you need to solve for getting a Summon-Materia which you can not get if you just follow the quest. Its also a very powerfull Summon-Materia called Odin. It is one of the rare Summons that have 2 different Styles depending on the enemy. One of them can kill any opponent with a certain percentual possibility.

In the basement is also another interesting optional surprise if you do it right. It makes sense to get it early so you can level it up while you progress in the Story. You will need the Odin Summon to get the Master Summon Materia as well. But first we need to investigate what happen in Clouds past and Nibelheim…
